Using Google Maps To Get More Traffic

Did you know that 20% of searches on Google are related to location? By creating a Google Places listing, your business will be eligible to appear on Google and Google Maps search results.

Google Places

Attract customers in your local area

  • Listing is completely free.
  • Display the area you serve, even if you don't have a shop or office.
  • Enrich your listing by including a link to your website, adding opening hours or uploading photos.

Sign-up to Google Places and verify your listing

Joining Google Places is quick and easy:

  1. Go to google.co.uk/places (google.com/places if outside the UK).
  2. Complete your business details.
  3. Once you're finished, choose your verification method (phone, SMS or postcard).

That's it! Once you're verified, new customers will be able to find your business on Google and Google Maps. Remember, you can update your Google Places profile by signing in with your Google account details at:
http://www.google.co.uk/places.

Have a great week!
